Q. Who else in the world is investing in soccer and why?

A. That’s a great question. Wikipedia’s U.S. Census Bureau states that the world's population as of 3-12-2012 is at 7.064 billion. The United Nations projection is that it will rise to over 16 billion by 2100. Currently 514 million live people in the United States and over 550 million in Latin America. Who else is investing in Soccer and why? This is the world's game, people. Don’t get us wrong, we love Football and the NFL effort to transplant to the U.K. and Europe is gallant, but it will never rise to the level of Soccer on the world scene. Look, Coca-Cola gets it. Their decision this year to invest 100 million into China’s National Soccer League...brilliant. They put their money where everyone’s mouth is.

It is time for the United States of America to have a National Soccer League. And unlike China it will not be run by the government. Let me ask you, should Major League Baseball step up to the plate and run a  Soccer  league in their ball parks during the Baseball offseason with the same team names, cities, and logo brands making use of their resources all year round? Yes, actually if they were smart they would. Can you imagine a Soccer team called the Los Angeles Dodgers playing Soccer in Dodger Stadium October- April?  How wildly popular would that be?  With attendance, team merchandise and sponsorships it would outsell its Baseball counterpart in the first year automatically creating a larger fan base for both sports.

 But, even better than that, how about the currently most successful sport in America ushering in a cousin sport under their brand name, NFL? Using the same team names, cities, logos, sponsorships and playing February – August.The NFL investing in the worlds most popular sport just waiting to be tapped right here in the good old U.S. of A.  Soccer is the beloved national pastime of every other nation.  America is just waiting to invest in soccer like crazy.  Soccer NOT like in the U.K. and NOT like in Europe or Asia with the confusing World Cup  F.I.F.A. guidelines, but, Soccer the American way with one rule change. In the same way we turned Cricket into Baseball and the same way we turned Rugby into Football, American style.  This bussiness plan for NFL Soccer does exactly that.  We are turning the corner for Soccer in the United States of America.  The Soccer America wants to watch.

Q. Won’t elimination of the offsides rule ruin the prestige of the game and turn it into a free for all?

A. Yes, we hope so. Did allowing the use of the forward pass in NFL Football ruin the game or make it better?  Yes, at one time it was not legal in the league to throw a forward pass.  Did allowing Baseball to use the designated hitter ruin the game or make it better?  It brought Baseball back from the dead.   Basketball could position a player constantly on defense or on offence ( offsides ) but they don’t.  NFL Soccer will use these slight changes to usher in a fervent intensity to the game just like the changes made in the other major sports. On a recent Fox Sports radio talk show the legendary Hockey star Jeremy Rheonoke was ask which sport he felt was the least likely to be able to win 15 games in a row.  His answer was "Soccer because of the lack of scoring."  There is a big problem here, you see.  Eliminating the offsides rule will correct this problem.

Furthermore, you can be sure that removal of the offsides rule will absolutely create more scoring opportunities thus generate more scoring, penalty shots, corner kicks, saves, shots on goal and action. We the people of the United States of America solemnly declare that we want touchdowns, homeruns, baskets and goals. And this fact ladies and gentlemen is the single reason that the current Major League Soccer in the USA is failing. They are refusing to allow this great game of Futbol to evolve naturally in the USA as all the other sports have done.

Soccer is like Baseball because it is the beloved national pastime of so many nations. Soccer is like Basketball because it is a game of keep away with similar court and field markings and uniforms are shorts and T-shirts. Soccer is like Football with 11 men on the field, speed, grass, tackles, goals, foot on the ball and penalties. However Soccer is out scored by Baseball 13 – 1, outscored by Football 43 – 1, and by Basketball 98 – 1. What’s wrong with that picture? The rest of the world says “Nothing.” They are too invested in the CHESS GAME MENTALITY of “Nothing happens all game long, then at the very end one team scores and it so exciting.” IS IT REALLY ??? And Major League Soccer is too dependent on foreign players to rise its ratings. They haven’t learned that don’t work here in the good ole USA.

 Q. Why does the usa not produce some of the top soccer players and teams in the world relying on big name foreign players in the MLS?

So, what does work here in the good old USA? One word and we coined the phrase, “SOCCER MOM.” You home grow ‘em then set up your boundaries and let ‘em rip, scoring touchdowns, goals and hittin home runs. Remember what brought baseball back from the dead recently? That right… HOMERUNS. What’s going to bring soccer back from the dead? That’s right (GOALS) homeruns.
